What is a Head Spa and what should I expect?
A Head Spa is a treatment primarily focused on the scalp. It is designed to cleanse, stimulate and nourish the scalp and hair follicles as well as release tension in the fascia tissues. At Aura Head Spa you can expect a scalp scrub exfoliation and deep cleansing with slow and relaxing massage techniques, alongside the use of specialised massage tools and water therapy utilising our specialised halo machine.

What are the benefits of a Head Spa?
Benefits of a treatment with us at Aura Head Spa may include; improved blood circulation to the scalp, removal of product build up during our scalp scrub exfoliation and deep cleanse process, improved scalp health by reducing dandruff and scalp impurities, strengthening hair follicles to promote healthy hair growth as well as immense relaxation and stress relief.

What products do you use?
We use salon quality hair and scalp products that are paraben and sulphate free.

Should I wash my hair before a Head Spa?
It is completely up to you; you will benefit from a treatment with clean hair or with hair that is not washed prior to your appointment.

What hair types and hair styles do you treat?
We understand that each individual is different, so we cater to a diverse range of hair types and styles. This includes if you have had keratin straightening, hair colouring and hair extensions (please note: with hair extensions we may not be able to use all our massage tools during your treatment. We unfortunately cannot service locs or braids.

Can I get a Head Spa if I’m pregnant?
Yes you can, all our products are safe for pregnancy. Our treatment requires you to lay on your back for the length of your treatment; if you are uncomfortable doing so, you may consider booking a treatment when you feel more comfortable. If you have any concerns, we recommend consulting your doctor beforehand.

Will you blow-dry my hair after my treatment?
Our Luxury and Ultimate Head Spa treatments include a basic dry-off, no styling included. Our Essential Head Spa treatment includes a simple towel-dry. After all our treatments, we ensure that you won’t leave the head spa with dripping wet hair.

How long do I have to use my treatment package?
You have a period of 6 months to use your treatment package
